Datahop presence:
Datahop was the first independent multi 10gigE provider at Interxion. Datahop classifies this Datacentre as fully on-net, popular for supply of Datahop Multihomed IP Transit, Datahop ports for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint interlinks, plus all IP services from NTT Verio, Telia Sonera and Sprint are available.

Background:
The London flagship of the international Interxion chain of DCs backed by 3i. Located near trendy Brick lane but outside the congestion zone. Had some initial power teething problems however these are now believed resolved.

Availability of Colocation:
Believed to still have space after a recent expansion, consider the many suite holders as colocation sources as well.

Cabling Policy:
100% chargeable monopoly with likely recurring charges. Official 10-15 business day leadtime. Standard quote must be obtained from your account manager, accepted by PO and then 10-15 business day leadtime apply. Obtain written confirmation of acceptance of PO to ensure leadtime is applied correctly. Connection to equipment included in the cable install fee.

Security:
Interxion offices, otherwise exclusively Datacentre. No perimeter. 24/7 walk in access for named personnel (limited to 3-4 usually). Cards issue possible however card not programmed for entry until visit to reception. Others authorised by email, usually within 5-10 minutes within business hours and permitted access on presenting valid government issued ID.

Remote hands:
None included. All chargeable, often contractors called to site out of hours.

Parking:
Temporary parking via Interxion spaces arranged in advance via Account Manager or else chargeable car park along side (first 20 minutes free, then 8-10 GBP/day) however very convenient.
